Speaking of Barstools
I have been tasked with writing an article for Suburban Scene's upcoming Crofton Community Guide about the top ten places in the Crofton area to meet singles. I have some ideas, but would like to hear what you all think. Where do you like to go to meet new single people? Where do you and your single friends like to hang out? Why do you like those places?

I don't think there really is a place where single's hang out in Crofton, Odenton and Bowie. I think you have to get in your car and drive to either Annapolis, Baltimore or Washington. ( Unless of course there is a SSS event )
I still say that if you are a woman go to the Titan Cigar Lounge in Waugh Chapel Village -- you got plenty of men to choose from and most are upscale
I'm still trying to figure out where all the single women congregate in the Crofton, Bowie and Odenton areas ?
Now that the weather is getting nice its not even necessary for the ladies to even go into Titan Cigar, just grab a latte or other beverage from Caribou Coffee and hang out in the patio area between The Four Seasons Grill. If someone grabs your attention on the way in or out of Titan simply drop a tube of lipstick a napkin or whatever and simply strike up a conversation. BTW adjacent Four Seasons Grill, next door has a nice lounge too if you wanteded to grab an appetizer or a cocktail before checking out the main course. They even have their own patio area right next door to Titan's
It's not an actual, physical "place," but I've found that Meetup.com is a great place to meet new friends while pursuing your interests. It's not a dating site. There's a wide variety of groups in the Crofton / Annapolis area and beyond, where you can meet people interested travel, active sports, movies, whatever. Ava

I'm thinking that cigar bar is not the best place to look for the ladies in the tri-suburb area (Gambrills/Odenton/Crofton). Just a hunch. But you sure have those barstools down cold.

Hey AVO is back.
Ava My advice was for the ladies to look for men at Titan Cigar. It is a male bastion testosterone kinda hang-out thing. When they have special promotions or vendors nights at Titan I'd say there have to be at least 100+ single guys there late 20s-late 40s.
Married men with families probably seldom venture there as their high end cigars are a such discretionary spending item.
So Avo where do the single ladies congregate ?

Gongrats on your bar stool pic at Sly Horse Tavern. I never saw the bar there to be able to recollect it, but I did have dinner there on the second floor going throught the back entrance/exit.
I have been going to the Irish Channel Pub. It is located on route 3 in Crofton. It is a restaurant/ bar. They have live entertainment every night.
Everyone there is outgoing and friendly. They make you feel right at home. There is a wide variety of age groups.
I have met someone new every time I have gone. I have even received two dinner invitations.
